Sunday 17 May – National Superbike “DEOD” SuperGP Champions Trophy

GAS-Sport will be hosting the “DEOD” SuperGP champions trophy event at Killarney on Sunday 17 May, a national championship event for motorcycles.

All required support and approvals including a noise exemption from CCT to run this event on Sunday have been obtained.

Please note that this is not a normal event run by the WPMC as the rights to the Super GP are held by GAS and there will be some differences that will affect members/spectators on the day.

Please see link below for race programme and press info for Sunday.

Even though it is not a WPMC organised event, we have negotiated the following with GAS-Sport for SUNDAY 17 MAY:

# WPMC members will gain free access on the day on presentation of their membership books (Day 6).

Our regular security firm will not be on duty as GAS is using their own firm – as such WPMC members should not expect to be recognised by any of the security officials.

# The WPMC Clubhouse as well as the tuckshop downstairs will be open on Sunday as per normal for food and drinks.

# The WPMC Members Boma will be open for members and their guests.

Bar, food and braai facilities available. Fee of R20 per guest is applicable.

# The Bull Bar & Pitstop will be in open and there will be a food vendor located in the Turn 3 area.

# For those WPMC members that are also members of the WPMC VIP Area in the Tower, please note this will be open as normal on Sunday.

# Competitors will be pitting in the old pit complex

# Scrutineering, parc ferme and the podium presentations will be in the pit area alongside the back straight so you will be able to see the riders, bikes etc after a race has been completed. Riders will enter the pit area as normal and make their way behind the garages on pit lane to parc ferme.

# Free entry for all arriving before 10am in exchange for a tin of food which will be donated to a local charity viz. the Elim Night Shelter for homeless people.
